About Jessie Panazzolo
Passionate about conservation but concerned about conservationist welfare within the industry, Jessie founded Lonely Conservationists in 2019 to help conservationists thrive by providing a platform to be heard, employment pathways and a strong community foundation.
Lonely Conservationists has since empowered over three thousand global conservationists to seek mental health help, form localised communities and to collaborate on projects together to strengthen their power and resources.
Jessie represented the Australian Academy of Science in 2020 as a Women in STEM Change-maker and Lonely Conservationists at the Earth Optimism Summit run by the Smithsonian Institute. Following her new involvement in the world of conservation psychology, Jessie has launched a new web-series "Lonely Conversationists" to engage her community in learning more about the science underlying their experiences as conservationists.
