Conservation Optimism is built on the belief that empowering everyone to make a difference for nature, while also learning from successes and failures, is key to securing our planet’s future. The Good Natured Conservation Optimism short film festival shares hopeful stories of nature’s recovery and people’s stewardship of it from all over the world. Our sixth film festival took place on July 6th, 2024 from 6pm – 9pm at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. The night was filled with captivating films and insightful Q&A sessions with talented filmmakers and stars.
In 2024, our judges and mentors were:
- Alastair Fothergill (Producer, Director and Founder of Silverback Films)
- Sharon Shattuck (Emmy Nominated Documentary Filmmaker and Podcast Host)
- Alicia Hayden (Conservationist, Author and Wildlife Artist)
- Dan O’Neill (Experienced Field Biologist, Wildlife Filmmaker, Explorer and Presenter)
