The mission statement of our charity, The Wildheart Trust, is “to inspire and empower people to take positive action to protect our planet and the animals we share it with” and we feel that the Conservation Optimism ethos aligns comfortably alongside that mission.

A large part of our conservation work involves conservation education and we understand the importance of framing our messaging in such a way as to provide hope and to elicit personal action. We actively seek out stories of conservation success and share them with our visitors and via social media. We hope that our membership of ConservationNOW will bring us into contact with individuals and organizations from other disciplines and enable us to all share inspiring stories and examples of best practice which we might otherwise never hear about.

The Wildheart Trust is involved with in-situ field conservation work in India, in Madagascar and closer to home, on the Isle of Wight. We hope that by sharing some of our own conservation successes via ConservationNOW we will make a positive contribution to the #conservationoptimism movement.
