The British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) supports and provide services for over 120 of the best zoos and aquariums in the UK and Ireland working together towards a more sustainable future for all species. In 2018, our members connected over 30 million visitors with a love of nature and inspired them to act to conserve biodiversity, we supported over 800 conservation projects worldwide and we contributed over £24 million to conservation.

By joining ConservationNOW we hope to extend our network, linking our community experts in animal care, research, education and conservation, with other specialists and organisations to collectively increase our conservation impact. We want to ensure our staff and volunteers remain inspired and motivated to pursue their important work effectively, and we want to use our position as a forum for public education to help spread positive and constructive messaging surrounding biodiversity challenges to encourage behaviour change.

"I realised how deeply planted I was in being a zookeeper. I realised I had no idea who I was beyond that."
