About Sonia Neves

A Communications Officer at the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (SPEA), Sonia gets a thrill from helping people see how weird and wonderful life is. A biologist turned science communicator, Sonia worked in Lisbon Zoo’s education department and then in the communications department at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, before coming home to roost at SPEA, where she helps tell stories of how we can join forces to save nature.
