Inklusive Nature CIC was founded by ecologist, storyteller and award-winning illustrator, Dr Vicky Bowskill. We help connect science and society through use of creative methods to support engaged research that addresses issues related to inclusion and/or the biodiversity and climate crises. By nurturing engagement with the research process within underrepresented groups, we aim to increase impact by inspiring empowered action.
Engaging, eye-catching visuals are a key part of effective science communication, helping to build trust and start conversations, capturing hearts and minds. Vicky’s academic experience includes both natural and social science methods, along with 20 years’ experience engaging various interest groups and publics in local government, third sector and academic settings.
Inklusive Nature is led by a neurospicy team and our values include Earth care, authenticity, inclusion, allyship and creativity. We have a mission to make science more inclusive and engaging, and to show the next generation of scientists from minoritised groups that STEM really is for everyone.
